K'yarie She was devoted to the moon...
He recoiled at her touch, his voice like an abrasive stone as it assaulted her ears. She didn't think he had so much energy left. But she was wrong. Again she resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Were all stallions this stubborn? Never accepting help even if it meant striking a deal with someone. Death or a simple favor. The choice did not seem hard to her. Though favors did often have a way of biting you in the rump, at least you were still alive. But this one would rather die then owe anyone anything. Was he really so proud, or was he afraid of what she might ask? "Then die." She said simply, seeing that she would get nowhere with this one. He was far too stubborn and foolish to see reason. She felt a presence coming up behind her and she tilted her head to see who was intruding upon their little conversation. Her lips curled in a welcome smile to see the young Valkyrie approaching. That smile brighten further at the sight of her gift. A thoughtful offering that touched the dark mare's heart. The yearling had scarily left her side since their chance encounter atop the summit and the goddess did little to deter her from following. She enjoyed to company and constant, quiet worship that girl offered. In fact, she could go so far as to say that she was becoming attached to Valkyrie. The stallion drew her attention back to him as he spoke again. At his sudden outburst she instinctively stepped in front of the smaller woman, so as to shield her from the brute. He had a lot more energy left, it would seem. The tirade lasted a few seconds before the male blacked out. Only the pleasant sound of rain filled the air. For the first time since encountering Valkyrie, a frown touched the woman's lips. "Come." She spoke softly to the petite maiden. She turned her back on Ricochet as she faced Valkyrie. "I do not wish to gaze upon his pathetic form any longer. If he wishes to die so badly, we shall leave him to do so." She was done with the bull headed stallion. He had not only refused her but had reacted in a hostile manner towards her dear Valkyrie. Such actions were unacceptable and she sought to distance themselves from him. Her eyes found the gift once more and her features softened. "Is this for me?" She knew it was, but felt the maiden deserved to present it to her. She had clearly taken great care and time to prepare this present, the woman would let her take pride in her efforts as she offered her this leaf and its contents. "Talk." in its darkness she found comfort. And in its light she found Hope |
