otem
Trouble is as a trouble does, when it's on a troubled mind Reasons come and reasons will go when the blind are followin' the blind Otem is surprised to hear that Roscorro has already tried precisely what they are hear to do. She looks at him, large gold and burgundy eyes trying to determine if at any point he had tried to dissuade the group. If he knew that this wouldn't work, why didn't he say something? Well, Otem knew why, but the giant had tried to communicate in other ways before? Otem meditates on the Metus' indication that their mere presence is attributing to his slow demise. But surely he couldn't blame them for it - how could they have known? Had the Rift really been so empty before that the presence of a handful of them changed the ecosystem so much? But before she had a chance to voice any of these thoughts, the Metus was suddenly eating the orb. "Wait-" She gasped before her mind got control over her mouth. And then the Metus was smiling, the cracks between his hideous teeth suddenly glowing with the orbs light. "Didn't see that coming." Otem murmered, more to herself than to anyone else. Still, she cast a glance around the assembled group to gauge their impressions. Surely they weren't meant to eat their orbs? Someone would have told them as much if that was the case ... right? |
