K'yarie
She was devoted to the moon...

She was so proud of her gift that when she revealed the ruined contents her disappointment was all but crushing. K'yarie did not smile in amusement, though the sight was quite endearing. No, she stepped forward with a smile, her soft nose reaching out to brush along the girl's check in a grateful gesture. "Thank you. my dear Valkyrie." She purred, her voice as warm as sunlight. "That was such a sweet gesture." She looked down upon the ruined contents of the leaf.

Slowly her head dipped towards it, nostrils taking in the scent of the food. She had eaten far worse than this when she was younger. Her father had enjoyed taking his girls out into the middle of nowhere and leaving them to find their way back. Survival lessons, as he called it. The terrain was always harsh and unforgiving and at time food of any sort was hard to come by. She had cried many tears as she called out for her father, begging him to come find her and take her home. Her little knees scrapped, her hair tangled with dead brush and debris. But he never came, and she was forced to walk on her own.

Now she was older and stronger, hardened by his cruelty. She did not need to eat the filth any longer. Yet this child had gone through so much trouble to gather these, how could she let her efforts go to waste? "Not all is entirely lost." She said, nuzzling a few of the offerings that had better faired the journey. Taking care to avoid the blue flowers for they were truly dangerous. A lesson she would need to impart to her young maiden less she eat these flowers herself and fall victim to the vines. It was easy enough to pass them up without looking rude, they were all but destroyed. The cherries were still far below her normal standards, but edible. She gently took them between her lips before swallowing them. There should not be enough of the flower's contents upon them to knock her out. For this she dare not give any to Valkyrie. Though there were only a couple cherries to consume so she hoped she would not find fault in her actions.

She lifted her head and smiled tenderly again. Moving on she brushed close to her little follower as she aimed to softly kiss one of her wings. "They were delicious, thank you." She moved towards the forest with her gliding, elegant gate. "Come, this place no longer agrees with me." Her gaze lifted towards the heavens, water running down her neck and chest as she did so. She wanted to find an escape from this tiresome rain. She gave no parting glance to the limp form of Ricochet as she vanished into the darkness of the rainforest.

"Talk."
in its darkness she found comfort.
And in its light she found Hope
