you and atlas are one and the same, my dear
Otem's question did bring up concerns. But he could do little more that give a shrug and a small nod. Most likely. He recalled how Otem had spoken in his mind before, briefly wondering if that was a two way connection. Most likely. He wondered why she had not attempted to communicate with him through her powers. Though his voice was mute his mind was not. Perhaps it was a one way communication? She had never sought to try and communicate with him in this method until she had called her meeting at the Pinnacle. Even then it had only been a summons and then demonstration. Never had they actually conversed. That was probably all she could do. Or maybe she had just never thought of it. Who knew. What ever the case he still remained as silent as ever. His voice locked away until he delivered what the Rift sought. Though he hadn't the slightest idea where to take the items. Maybe he didn't need to give the land what he collected, just collect them? Nothing made sense to him here, but he was becoming okay with that. Why fret about what you cannot change?
His eyes scanned the ruins, drifting up to spy the form of Otem's companion doing the same. It felt nice to have a set of eyes in the sky, though threats were not always easily seen. If at all. Could things turn invisible? He had no idea. His knowledge of any world was limited. Most likely it was possible. That was reassuring. His listened closely to the world around them as they walked. His nostrils flaring as he scented the air. He had never encountered anything within the ruins of the city, but he felt that that would soon change. There had to be something that they needed to share their light with. He was not sure that the ball of hope would work on anything that was not living.
"Talk."
