WAKER

You're in the company of giants.

See, this: a small, scruffy Waker, incredibly compact. The Waker doesn't have short legs, per se, but it doesn't look long-legged. It has a short, broad back. Actually, 'compact' is the best way to describe it.

Next to the Waker: three giants. The smallest of these giants is long-legged and ram-horned; the middle one is a bit of night-time sky made corporeal; and the tallest is this.. walking mountain of danger, but his eyes are kind, and that's why you trust him.

But you feel incredibly tiny, like you're the rabbit in the forest and they're the trees. And besides, you still feel a bit subdued after the encounter with the sirens. The half-healed wound upon your neck has scabbed over, but the dried blood is itching. You're not sure if this was such a good idea after all—you're walking into the lair of the ravenous, with blood on your neck. 'Hey, eat me!'
