Trial Green Labyrinth  OPEN TO ANYONE
Roscorro the Dragon Heart
Currently championing: Caevoc

ROSCORRO
The brown Clydesdale tribrid moved deep into the maze. Deeper than he had ever gone before as he sought to complete his trial. Grateful that he had not been called upon to face the metus again. Though he was not sure if it would still end up trying to attack him if it happened upon his scent. Their last encounter had him and his small band of horses bringing light to the starving predator. At that point it had thanked them and then left. But would that stop it from attacking him now? Probably not. He was still a predator and the giant horse still prey. Though Roscorro would have liked to believe that they had somehow come to an odd sort of understanding when they shared their light of hope with the Metus; He had no evidence to prove that the other felt the same as he. So he remained on guard, just in case.

But it was not the sound of the Magnus Metus' spinning teeth that reached the roamer's ear, but a sound much quieter. Wind. Yet nothing stirred, save for the falling rain. The stalks around him did not sway unless touched by his being. His flesh did not feel the cool touch of the earth's breath upon his wet skin. Nor did the smoke, that seemed to always waft off of his body as he moved, waver or react as if it had been disturbed by the invisible presence. Nothing save for the sound that entered his ears spoke of wind.

Yet as he moved it grew stronger. A disturbing, detached noise that felt more surreal than real. As he turned yet another corner the wanderer found himself facing a great wall of bamboo. A dead end. He was not bothered by this, having found several dead ends along his way here. Considering the mount of time he had been walking, he had to have come quite deep into the maze. It was time to turn back. But as he made to following his trail back to the entrance, fog poured in, and the sound changed from a quiet presence to a wailing howl. His ears pinned back against his skull as instinct bade him protect them from the wind that was surely tugging at them. But again no sensation of wind was felt, only the cold drizzle of rain as fog swirled around him.

He hung close to the wall where he had snapped the bamboo. He could no longer see the pieces laying upon the ground in the sea of fog. He instead searched for the other half of the bamboo that he had left rooted in the ground. Keeping the wall to his right he carefully picked his way along, finding the first broken stock a little ways down. His talons brushed against something beneath the fog. He grabbed it and raised it in front of his nose. The other end of the bamboo that he had laid upon the ground like a breadcrumb. He shuffled forward some more, working his way down the maze until he found another broken stock a few feet away from the first. Again he felt for the broken top with his front feet to ascertain that this was indeed his handy work. Upon finding it he moved on. Slow and steady. The phantom wind continued to howl, unnerving the stallion as he pressed onward.

"Talk."

I may not be the most important person in your life.
I just hope when you hear my name,
You smile and say "That's my friend!"
