You'll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky when we walked in fields of gold

Unlike her mother, Otem feels lots of things. She feels them intensely, but because of how her mother used to be and how her twin is, she stifles them, and the one thing that makes her actually normal, in fact makes her feel isolated. So she swallows her emotions, creating a chasm inside of herself for all those squishy feelings to live.

And so as she hears her Father call out, Vérzés, she quickly grabs hold of the betrayal and anguish she feels and throws them into the pit. True, it was she who panicked and ran from the entrance of the portal, away from her family into this jungle, but shouldn't her father be the least little bit worried about her? Dragons had teeth and claws and fire and magic. She had magic too, but claws? The wound on her chest seemed to ignite with pain as her thoughts turned towards it. She hadn't tried all that hard to clean up her spilled blood, and so patches of maroon still dotted her shoulder where the unicorn's horn had sliced through it. It looked more dramatic that way.

Steeling herself and swallowing hard, Otem painted a look of innocence on her face as she stepped out from the thick jungle underbrush into her Father's path. "Father!" She cried happily, her voice betraying none of the contempt she had felt towards him only moments again. Her wings spread from her chest as she ran forward to embrace him - the movement appeared casual, but it was entirely calculated. Her Father the warrior would notice her wounds in an instant, and part of her wanted him to feel guilt over letting her run off. Maybe it had to do with what the pale tribrid had said, but Otem was now firmly of the opinion that her Father had too many children.

"I've found you!" She cooed into his strong chest, wings wrapping around his shoulders.

Pandora who had been flying close to Otem, now rose up to perch in a tree, eyeing the golden dragon warily.
