Requiem couldn't remember how long she had been alone in the Rift after her family had been ripped apart. Her mother and father were nowhere to be found, nor was either of her siblings. They had all gone through the portal together, ushered by their mother, and yet none of them arrived together. She had long since given up on finding any of them and had, instead, begun focusing on forging new bonds with those that were in the same situation she was in... or at least similar situations.
Still, there was something that drew her back to the Portal again. Perhaps it was the idea of finding a lost soul and helping them like she had helped the strange stallion not so long ago. Or maybe she hadn't given up on finding her family as completely as she thought she had. Whatever it was she was there, wandering between the trees, smoke swirling around her legs, glowing eyes watching her every move.
The young girl tried her hardest to be quiet, not wanting to draw anymore attention to herself than she already was just by being in the forest, but she still managed to snap a twig underfoot. In reality it probably wasn't that loud, but in the deathly silent forest it sounded something similar to a gunshot and it made her wince. Requiem became still, gold rimmed ears tilted forward to listen for anything that might be approaching and when she heard nothing she continued forward, around trees and under branches.
And then she saw her.
It was like seeing a ghost. All the air felt like it was sucked from her lungs and she stood there for the longest, scarcely breathing, the sound of her heart roaring in her ears. "Letha?" Her sister's name fell from her lips, whispered. Unbelieving. "Letha?" A little louder this time. "LETHA!"
