A z a r e l
A frightening, marred span of sinew and strength. He's the progeny of a lightning struck Friesian and a golden Thoroughbred, second in line. Though the genetic string of the former King says buckskin, his maw is pale—refusing to blend with the dark wesselite of his lengthy, feathered legs. Lining his neck lies locks in a color equivalent to rusted crimson fading to dark wesselite roots, sparsely decorated with spheres of gold.
Upon his shoulder and croup, silver flames has melded into the golden skin. They are physical beacons that tattletale about his ancestry, his Father whom he also displays three golden feathers from—attached behind his deaf left ear.
The Warlord gazes upon the world with irises of heterochromatic binary, sightless azure and vivid crimson, menacing and canny, lined with winter's touch. He lost sight in the cerulean eye at six years of age when a shard of metal got stuck in it. Since, he earned a golden chanfron by the gods of Aestralyn as a message to be more careful; decorated with tribals of fire hinting at his magic.
Around his neck lies a golden chain he cares deeply about. Three charms are attached to it; a lavender lightning bolt, flames of orange and a crimson star—symbolizing the stallion's family in memory. As of late, he've had made another charm for his little sister Cahira—a crimson and alabaster lightning bolt.

YEAR 15 of AESTRALYN :: 1 year old
Leaving Helovia at little over one year of age, the Warlord left behind many friends and foes. Forced to begin a new life in Aestralyn, as his mother declined into madness once again, he took the leading role of his family and supported them as best he could. Azarel had, for a long time, fed the hungry side of him—the side aching for control and power. Each month that passed, every season that changed, he gradually lost the noble trait the child had been known for.
YEAR 16 :: 3 years old
Mistrust poured from the dwellers of Arazar, stirring about the King and his policies for the nation. This only nourished the hunger, pawing at the bonds he shared with his dearest Mother and sister. After months without promises of a better future, the Warlord began to make plans for war. A battle to take over the Kingdom and make its inhabitants thankful again.
YEAR 17 :: 5 years old
The Lord of Time fiddles with the trespassers in his realm. Cahira is separated from Azarel and Delinne, leaving the elder mare to attempt control of the powerhungry stallion. With noone to back her and fire magic punishing her every move against him, Delinne is forced to surrender. The tales of the Rebellion in the wilderness, of the Silverflame, travelled far into the gritty streets of Ujeizeka, capital of Arazar. He matured fast and hastily set up camp far from Ashary, near the Oasis by the sea. Protected by Aslan, the coyotes roaming the desert had no chance and quickly went from fifty to zero, thanks to the lion. Months passed, trespassers were charmed into his harem— it didn't take the Warlord long before he had a following that'd do anything for him to avoid punishment. The nobleness of the man was gone, hungry irises of azure and crimson only demanding— never asking.
As he thrived on the control he now had over a harem of mares and stallions, he also lost a part of himself. The innocence of a young one, playfulness of colts and fillies. All replaced with greed and narcissism.
Cahira was nowhere to be found for months, so she was simply declared dead to him whilst Delinne's rank was reduced to being a prisoner of his harem. One night, a paint mare of his harem had found the little sister — later leading the buckskin to the white Amazon. She had been in labor pains while being protected by a snow leopard and an ermine, birthing a fortunately stiff colt — the result of forced intimacy. Azarel took her in to comfort the little sister — ordering the guards to bury the stillborn —, telling her about his plans of becoming the King of Arazar and how the battle was to ensue soon. She would have a better life once the Kingdom was his. However, she doubted him. She took their Mother's side, how anyone could side with the pathetic shell of a mare that she had become in her descent into insanity. He had left the Amazon to be protected by the winged guards that night.
Aslan however betrayed him.
Five days later, the companion had taken the white mare out of confinement — the safe place — and released her into the forest once past the guards. The Warlord found out hours later, barely believing the treachery made by his own soul. His life force had been breathed into this lion, raising him and loving him unconditionally. Yet, the mighty cat had lied to the stallion and gone behind his back. It was let go, seeing as the days of the take-over were close, but he never did forgive him.
(PROCESS OF REWRITING) "Break of dawn revealed the day when blood was to be shed. His army of pegasi and unicorns alike stood by him, ready to die at the Warlord's feet — warriors and sinners all together for the final battle. All fought with teeth and trotters, horns as spears and wings as shields on a field covered in blood. A smirk on his sweaty, golden face as he broke down the King's army one by one, the white of his eyes bloodshot with excitement and yellowed teeth bared to any in his way. Azarel would've gotten further, if his apparently stupid little sibling hadn't crashed herself into him, careening into sanded boulders whilst screaming at him. Yelling lies how he was a monster and how she hated him, keeping him from the war and risking his chance of winning. Aslan positioned himself as a shield between the Warlord and the sister's cat, protecting the Master. She'd attacked him. His sister that he had witnessed being born, watched over when she'd been but a babe until Mother finished her duties. The sister that had believed in him for years, coming to an end. He got up on his feet and stared at the white Amazon, seeing the true fear in her green eyes and her realization of what she just said.
"Leave." For the first time in his life as an older brother, his voice became cold and remained that way for years to come.
He simply observed as she ran away, cat and ermine close behind her, whilst his side pounded like a thousand hammers at one stone. Bleeding. Wounded by a loved one — or so he had thought. Angry—disappointed—mourning, the stallion roared and went on to slay the King himself."
YEAR 18 :: 7 years old
Moons later, he found himself in the Castle. Having been crowned King of Arazar shortly after slaying the childless former ruler, life had become easier. Except for the fact that he managed to turn blind in his azure eye after supervising the blacksmiths. Masks to protect the faces of the smiths had been installed however, so something good came out of the King losing sight. The harem he'd cared for all had high positions in the Kingdom—for being mares. Maids, gardeners, herb collectors and so on; only the finest for the fine ones. However as his Mother was useless as can be, he'd let her go for the time being. Releasing her gave him a peace of mind as he didn't have to put up with the elder's snarky comments every morning.
