LIFE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT. IT JUST HAS TO BE LIVED

He hadn't been resting for long when her voice laced his ears. Yet the tone was different, slightly deeper with a hint of a growl. Letting his eyes flutter open he slowly stood, stretching his limbs and trying to regain a sense of his surroundings. His icy eyes looking to meet her own pale pair. Except she did not look like a she anymore. Although she was still petite, short in height, there was a masculine presence in her silhouette. Curves that had once been soft were now rigid, thick and brawny as she approached him with her usual stare.

Her scent had a deeper musk to it, no longer the dainty freshness of a spring daisy. Yet even as she made her approach and barked an order at him, he still couldn't help but find himself to be infatuated. He had heard her request, but hadn't acted on it. He would tend to her wishes once he completed his task, because it was so important that she receive his gift. Swallowing hard he blinked, gathering a courage he usually had in his arsenal. So brash he was, blunt and uncaring of the social boundaries he crossed when interacting with others.

He was unafraid of getting into others personal space, of making them feel uneasy while he helped himself to exploring what needed to be explored. He was selfish and rude and invasive of many's privacy, but when it came to Valkyrie it was an entirely different scenario. His body took on a completely different persona, how his body would slouch with uncertainty and his eyes would fill with longing. He would try to approach her, yet there would be the nagging doubt of potential rejection often imminent.

It took a few minutes of him arguing with himself mentally before gathering himself and making haste in his approach. He was not stopping, he was unaware of the potentially dangerous beast in their vicinity because there was something he must do. When he was within talking distance his lips found the bead in his mane, and he didn't stop his movement as he pulled it free. Eyes locked with hers he moved with uncommon precision, purpose even, before pressing the bead into her locks right beside her delicate wing.

Before he could stop himself his lips were finding the edge of her feathers, eyes shutting to savor her scent, her taste, and although it was different it was still her and he couldn't stop himself from sucking in every ounce of her presence. Letting his eyes flutter open once again he only pulled away slightly, breath delicately breathing against her cheek as his broad chest was puffed out in courage. He was on a roll and he wouldn't stop the momentum, longing to fulfill every single fantasy that ran through his mind each night beneath the stars.

His lips found her velvet cheek, caressing it ever so tenderly as his breath slowly released itself from the soft maw. His cheek found purchase against her brow bone, neck inches from her nose. This wasn't enough, not entirely, for he longed to embrace her close and let his teeth sink into her pale mane. How he wanted her to feel how much he absolutely adored her in every fiber of his being. But with her he could not rush things, he could not throw himself entirely in. Because she was a flighty thing that spoke a big game but would run when felt threatened. He couldn't afford to lose her now when he was so close to letting her know where he stood.

After what felt like an eternity he finally pulled away, softly panting and looking into her eyes intensely. He didn't know what his body was feeling, why a hot flush was overcoming his patched form, but it felt right, and he craved for it to continue. Taking a moment to assess her new form, he finally managed to find his voice in the silence that had previously engulfed them,"For you. A gift."
