A Storm Upon The Waters
Open Rainforest Cliffs

She was quick to retort, and wasted no time in shutting him down and his request. Whatever, he didn't care. He knew the Rift would kill him one day and he was ready to face it. His hazy eyes studied her movements, how she held her body with such graceful confidence. She was hot and she fucking knew it and even though Ricochet agreed, it still rubbed him the wrong way. She was no innocent, coy princess. She was a beauty that was true, but she held a bit of beast deep within her as well. A siren as you will, calling to him with those violet eyes and smile that seemed to indicate that she was up to no good. As he watched her in his delusional phase his hormones were quite conflicted. Should he flirt and hope that she take pity, and maybe get some action on the side? Or should he just tell her to go fuck herself and go die in peace?

"Yeah..." he began in a more subdued tone, eyes roving over her body again thoughtfully before continuing,"Asking nicely really isn't my style. So I think I'll go die over there now. Later toots, careful where you shake that ass because someone might smack it." With that he began to limp past her, still managing to hold his head high while the rest of him was crumbling away into nothingness. He didn't make it far, because he had managed to step into a small hole that twisted his bad leg just enough to send him crashing into the dirt. With his leg awkwardly splayed beneath his body, he stared blankly ahead of him as the rain continued to pour down his mangled mess of a body. He was pissed because that was a terrible exit, but he was also too weak to right himself.

Sheer will had been driving him at that point, but with the possibility of death in his mind his body had decided to no longer lend strength to a lost cause. It was with slow movements that he at least managed to correct his legs, now laying on one side and breathing heavily. His world was spinning and his mind was switching back and forth, almost like it did when he went into one of his mental phases. He called those the blackout, because even though he is technically coherent in those moments, he never truly remembers what happened when he comes to. But that didn't really matter now, because he was so close to dying, and so he might as well just enjoy the sound of the rain falling onto the muddy ground.

DON'T LET THE BASTARDS
GRIND YOU DOWN
