Tha Mo Ghaol Air Àird A' Chuain
Open Rainforest Cliffs
Vynter the Hopebringer
Currently championing:
#2
He had heard the singing, and it had driven him forward with an unknown force. Gangling legs managed to carry him with a consistent speed, the crippled wing upon his back thumping with each shift of his gait. Eyes of ice were determined, for when Vynter wanted to find something; there was nothing stopping him. So the yearling ungracefully loped in the direction the song was coming from.

Despite moving outward, the vegetation only seemed to grow thicker with each passing step. As he moved deeper into the lush jungle, the more his footing became uneven. There was a time or two where the colt had simply fallen to the ground, his face being powered with soil that would litter his eyelashes. Yet he was undeterred, for this was common for the babe, and with a ungraceful heave he was back on track to his destination.

It was when the voice grew louder did he become more determined, causing him to increase he speed. With his ears pricked in search of the source and eyes hard with concentration; it was obvious he did not see the large root fast approaching. And so it was with the utmost disgrace that he barged right into this root, his shins slamming hard against the wood and causing him to literally flip over. With a startled grunt he was on his back, wing haphazardly skewed beneath him.

Yet when he finally opened his eyes it was not the trees that he could see, but a hulking beast with fangs protruding from his muzzle. Horns adorned his skull, lined perfectly in a row along his forehead, framed by a thick and shaggy mane. With his expression morphing from concentration to utter fascination, the colt had begun to wiggle himself away in an attempt to get back up. It took a few tries, but soon the grullo was up again and looking at the man that towered above him.

"Big," he breathed from his lips, his voice soft from lack of use. Yet when it came to the beautifully unique creature before him he could not help but say something! His eyes roamed the brute's body eagerly, before they soon fell upon the talons that were his front feet. That was not something he had seen before. Had he been the more excitable type, he might have squeaked in delight. Instead he opted to invade the dragon's personal space and sniff the scaled limbs, letting his lips brush across them in order to feel the texture. As he did so a contented sigh left his lips, a ghost of a smile gracing his maw. He had found a truly beautiful treasure.
