[ Mix of: ]
Kianzo is a noble beast with a striking coat. The base is a silvered buckskin, but bright gold blankets his back and haunches. White barring runs from his spine along his withers and back, while pale bird-catcher spots adorn his his haunches and low on his shoulder. His forelimbs fade from buckskin to gold at the knee and black at the fetlock. A band of black runs along the middle of his barrel, along his stifle, and to his hock before fading to gold on his cannon bone and black and his fetlock. His tail starts in cream at the base, but quickly darkens to bony. The first part of his mane is a deep brown (nearly black), while the last third starts as cream but fades to dark brown. Light blue eyes are stark against the black markings on his cream face, and a long, loosely spiraled horn of black rimmed in gold sprouts from his forehead. His build is tall and solid, but not as heavy or drafty as his sire’s, instead being refined in his great height, rather than bulky or massive.
Kianzo is a complex tangle of impulses. While a strong moral compass points due-north in his chest from his parent’s upbringing, he battles a strong ambitious and competitive streak that pulls him towards the darker roads in life. His father’s temper has also been passed on to him, which becomes apparent when he loses his internal battle against his compulsions. Though his friendship and loyalty is hard-won, it indefinitely remains with those he chooses— almost to a fault. At times, the man can be arrogant and cross, and he holds little patience for others, as he is continually battling himself. His mother’s sweetness did not miss this stallion; however, it only shows to those he holds close to his heart.
Helovia
Year 7
Born in Birdsong, push out of their mother far too early by violence wrought on her body by an ex-lover, the twins conceived by love came to consciousness by hate. Together at the start, they roamed the Heavenly Fields near their home, finding a monstrous colt and his father- making Kianzo realize the void of a father in his own life. Welcoming Zyanya into the Basin alongside his mother and sister, the young Prince reveals a proclivity for haughtiness, sown by endless love of his mother and lack of discipline. Growing brazen in youth, the twins wander further afield and Kianzo discovers his magic for the first time, trying it first on small rabbits. But then the encounter takes a turn towards dangerous as Thranduil and his cerndyr companion approach during their antics. The twins then wander to the Green Labyrinth, drawn in by its ominous nature, and find their companions amid a monstrous storm of shadows.
Tallsun brings the colt's first attendance at a herd meeting, beginning his love affair with power as he sees Lord Deimos so easily command the Basin herd. After the meeting, however, Kiada disappears with their 'cousin' Romina, and so Zo wanders off on his own across the Frostbreath Steppe, meeting his uncle Hasovir. He comes to admire (a rare occurrence for the colt) his uncle as the two hunt for seals together. He then reunites with Kiada in the Heart Caves, stumbling upon Albrecht's companion hatching, where the colt shows off his magic and kills bats for everyone's companions. However, he also manages to make an enemy of the old, grouchy stallion. Returning to the Basin, he meets Zyanaya again, and he realizes his addiction to power over others. Both he and Kiada attend a fortune telling by the Haruspex, which briefly smooths over the irritation Zo had felt for his twin sister. The two then join forces to torment Vastra in the Endless Blue and, once again, the twins are inseperable. However, Kia then disappears and develops a crush on Ru'in, which drives a further wedge between the closeknit siblings. A rift broadens as they meet their father, Tembovu; though Kianzo is unimpressed with his so-far-absent sire, while Kiada is more willing to embrace their father. So the two venture off, slightly at odds, and come across a serval drop, where Kia reveals her fears of inadequacy compared to her brother. The two then part ways and the colt heads south, towards the Halcyon Flats, where he encounters Tae and her wolf pups, who steal a meal he caught for his own cub.
Orangemoon brings cooler weather as the colt begins to return to the Basin, only to be intercepted by a mare who had seen him with Tae on the Flats. She captures the tired colt in hopes to teach him a lesson. Though she releases him, he feels some kind of attachment to her and follows her to the Riptide Isles, realizing that she has stolen the wolf-pelt from Tae, the filly he despises. He watches as others dive into the water, beginning to miss his family but feeling ashamed for being gone for so long. So he continues to skulk around Helovia, joining a crowd around a strange demon, and receiving horse teeth on a string. Returning to the Endless Blue to join the gathering of horses watching Kis and the Moon, he internally fumes when seeing Kiada flirt with Ru'in.

Year 8
Frostfall and the new year find the colt in the Green Labyrinth where Thranduil finds him. The Laurelin brings Kianzo back to the Edge, but along the way teaches him valuable sneak lessons and names him 'the AshenHeart.' The reunion with his family is sweet, but intense. He attends foal games held in the Edge, but the foals are attacked by griffins, and Kianzo becomes worried and nearly useless in protecting Kiada. Seeking slightly safer entertainment, the twins attend a storytelling in the Edge and learn about the Giving Tree and the Earth Turtle from Arah. They then venture out and decorate the Giving Tree. Kianzo receives charms of Kiada and Keusi as a present.
Birdsong finds Tembovu bringing both Kianzo and Kiada to the veins for a quest from the Earth God to strengthen his power to protect those he loves. The colt then attends a herd meeting, which is rather uneventful--though the colt is interested to see his father act as King. However, as he attends Kisamoa's call for help, he finds Kiada sneaking off with Ru'in once again. He follows her, interrupting their clearing of bones and attacking Ru'in. However, he chases after Kiada when she runs off, and the two have a horrendous fight, opening a schism in their bond. Even Kaos's reveal and witnessing the bone monster kill Nyx do not eclispe the fight with his twin. However, Nyx's funeral does shake him to his core, strengthening his need for some kind of attachment to another.
Tallsun brings the colt lonely and angry, so he attacks a lynx kitten, is caught by Alysanne, and she refuses to heal his wounds from the mother lynx. He then seeks out his mother for solace and comfort, and the two bond while he tells her of his time while stolen by Bellisma (and wrestles with feelings new hormones rise in him for the memory of the gold mare). Adventuring out on his own, he comes across Oizys at the Blood Falls while hunting for Keusi, and the two are accidentally forced to kill a giant bear together.
Orangemoon brings the lonely young stallion's sister calling for him in their home, and the two reconcile, once again pledging themselves to each other with a bond as thick as blood. The twins then come across their sire help with theherd quest, and Yael interrupts the familiy tension as a gold dragon. While still in the Edge, the young prince is intrigued by Indolum- though their meeting is brief. Venturing outside the Edge once again, though this time at peace with Kiada, he is shocked to find Bellisma in the Green Labyrinth. Overcome with shock, relief, and newly raging hormones, he finds the older mare showing him how to please her both physically and emotionally before she disappears into the mists. He continues hunting for Keusi on the way home from his tryst with the golden mare, coming across Oizys once again in the swamp. It is here where the Portal opens-though Zo searches for Bellisma before being pushed through by his sire.

Keusi
Keusi, a striped hyena, embodies Kianzo’s dark and ambitious impulses. Her laugh is loud, haunting, and harsh— often coming during some twisted plans contrived by herself or her bonded. True to her species, this hyena is dominant and tricky; however, the one she does yield to his her bonded. Though their bond is contentious at times, for Keusi is forever embracing Kianzo’s dark urges while he, at times, tries to follow the morals instilled by his parents.
