There! As his claws met flesh, the Metus grumbled and hissed his pleasure. If his circular set of teeth could grin, he would have, as Roscorro’s warm dark blood coated his pale hand. But victory was short lived, as the Metus tried to swipe once more, Roscorro’s own attack unleashed. There was a roar of anger as the clydesdale’s own claws met his shoulder. His own blood began to fill the rest of the tang of the area, and he huffed his frustrations as he retreated slightly, his long tongue lashing out to taste the blood of Roscorro again, to make sure his prey was the one he sought.
But if Roscorro thought the same trick would work on him again, the Clydesdale was mistaken. For her heard the clunk of stone as it reverberated farther away than the Metus imagined the creature could move and be so silent, and so he remained still for a brief few seconds as Roscorro attempted to slip past his defenses. A guttural roar escaped his lips as he turned to Roscorro’s general location, his teeth spinning faster in a sharp menacing dance. But before he could pounce, he felt the blood continue to trickle down his arm – far worse than he could have imagined it to be, and so he hesitated, just a fraction of a second before lashing his long tongue out toward Roscorro’s direction, hoping to meet flesh.

@Roscorro The Metus has been hit and has second guessed his opponent! He hesitates before lashing his tongue out toward Roscorro. It wouldn't do damage but simply acknowledge that he was where he thought Roscorro was. This could either miss or hit, your pick!
