Emotional distress had to take a back-seat when it came to travelling through the portal. There were too many faces that she needed to keep track of - Zoeya and Naerys and Iona were with her, but where was Mauja? Lyanna? Sansa? Sarai? Amaris? The list was long indeed and there was no way to keep track of them all which was driving Alysanne insane. The trip through the portal made her feel sick to her stomach and her mind felt like it had been shredded by massive claws. The absence of the bond between her and Cypress wasn’t noticed fully right away - the little owl was still nestled in her wings, having slept through the entire thing - and Hemlock was on the ground near Iver, crying out in hoots as he tried to encourage the younger bird but also make his way back to Alysanne. Once on the other side, Alysanne was dazzled for a moment by the strange land that they had found themselves in - but her attention wasn’t on it for very long. She was checking for her family, a muzzle reaching out to Naerys and Zoeya both to confirm they were with her before she turned to Iona at the sound of her sister’s voice. Only… A bright, wild sort of laugh escaped Alysanne as she took in a sight she had not seen in a long time - that of Iona as a filly. “Why Iona! Aren’t you looking wonderful.” She teased in a bright voice, marvelling at the sight. She hadn’t even started to wonder how the portal might have affected her - she was too busy chuckling, knowing how angry her sister would be at this turn of events, and relishing in this small glimmer of delight in this terrible, terrible day. *ALYSANNE lying on the edge of a star
