Ahlora watched as the pegasus before her took on a defensive stance, wings displayed fully to make her form seem larger. It was a tactic often used by wolves as well, but with fur bristling instead of feathers unfolding. Ahlora ruffled her own wings in response, holding her head low and forward as if she was stalking prey.

Then, the other equine spoke. With a tone giving nothing less than a challenge, the mare's voice cut through the mist and humidity like Ahlora's own hooves had cut through the sand. The challenging voice aggravated Ahlora greatly, but the resolution she had been offered appeared to her new equine side. It was this body that wanted peace over war, and that only stood to frustrate the pegasus further.

Moving slow, Ahlora stepped forward as well. She couldn't let herself seem defeated after all. As she moved, Ahlora's rigid posture relaxes with each small pace she moved. Praising her head and hiding her teeth, lifting her shoulders and settling her wings firmly against her back again. Ahlora stopped when she was around two body lengths away, tail lifted and eyes still burning. Her posture was much less threatening though, quite the improvement from her original attitude.

"Fine." Even her voice was less stained now, sounding like the high pitch of her equine self again. It was gravelly though, the result of her early attempts to growl and snarl, still holding the slightest hint of bloodlust within it.
