the Rift
The earth is dark and drenched, laden with so much moisture that it seems rain drops will rise up from the soil rather than fall from the clouds.
...wait. Is it? Indeed, the earth gushed out small droplets that rose, as if falling in reverse. Perhaps they were meant to match the pitiful wailing of the fallen, pink creature. As if to say: 'yours are not the first tears we've seen; look at all of these'.
But, aside from that, the Rift is silent and dark with the filly's arrival.
