this is my coup d'état

The woman seemed to be considering his words, and of course G-D politely gave her time to think. The word that slipped past her lips nearly surprised him, key word being nearly. He was used to hearing this sort of stuff over the years now. G-D could tell that it wasn’t her real name. yet politeness required him to hold his tongue.
He supposed, that it was only just a figure of speech; perhaps she had been through more than that meets the eye. Speaking of which, only now as he drew close could them man see the other’s colors. She seemed to be of more earthy tones than his own, painted in browns and greens like the forest. Her obsidian mane was plain compared to G-Dragon’s galaxy one, but it suited the lady. The stallion’s orbs widened slightly at the sparkle of stars across her pelt, though. Seems like earthen horses could also walk among the stars. .
But his attention was drawn back to the question now being asked by the woman, before he could examine any further. “And your soul?” she had asked. G-D snorted, thinking about his own ‘soul’. He had been through too much; wasn’t sure if he still had one. But he kept up a light banter, and replied smoothly. “Oh, hardly a luck one, I suppose, with all this” ,here he paused to gesture at the storm, “being thrown at it. But I suppose, just an ordinary soul in Pantheon.” He finished with a small sigh, staring out into the wind and rain.
