When Hemlock alerted her that Petyr was coming, Alysanne already began moving. As fast as she could, considering how far along she was in her own pregnancy, she let her hooves carry her towards her daughter. She had remained close, unwilling to allow much distance between herself and her family when everything was so strange in this place. Luckily, too, because just jogging that short distance made her feel out of breath. Zoeya had gotten there first, and she beamed at her youngest daughter when she heard the calm manner with which she was speaking to Naerys. Young as she was, the sweet girl already had the makings of a wonderful healer. Alysanne joined the pair, surprised to find that she had little to add after the speech given by Zoeya. “Your sister is right.” Alysanne’s pride for both of her daughters shone clearly in the smile she wore as she looked between them before focusing on Naerys. “Your body knows what to do, and we are here for the rest.” The first was always scary - Alysanne remembered being frightened when she gave birth to Artorius - and she reached to press a comforting muzzle to Naerys’ shoulder, reaffirming that she would not be going anywhere.
