Can we go back before the morning took you?
And every dream of you was gone

Despite Otem's general dislike of children (even though she was still basically one herself), she couldn't help but smile at Aei'ith's way of seeing the world.

Halyvahblahblah, the filly had said, and her blatant disregard for the importance of names and places made Otem smirk. Isopia would have hated the youngling's mockery of language - even if it wasn't her fault - but Otem thought it was endearing in a way. Almost like it took the power away from the lands themselves, and instead put it into the horses who were there. Halyven, or Halyvahblahblah, it didn't matter to Aei'ith. All that mattered was that Aurelia would be there.

And so they went.

Pandora looped in lazy circles around the antlered girl as she and Otem trekked towards the broken city. It didn't take terribly long, but even as they traveled Otem wondered what guarantee they had that Aurelia would be around. Maybe she had gone somewhere else - to look for her child, perhaps? Or even if she was here, the broken rubble stretched on and on. It could still take a fair amount of time to find Aei'ith's dam.

"Did you and Aurelia have a special place here? Somewhere we should look first?" Otem asked, glancing down at her younger travelling partner, and hoping she would have an answer.
