THE       F A E       CHILD
.........................................................................

EVERYTHING was so weird. SO weird....even for this place. The feeling had started just after she'd stumbled upon that gathering with the insane god. The fae child had gotten the impression that his orders were not to be disobeyed and, so, she'd made to go follow his requests. But, slowly, darkness had covered her vision as if she were going blind and then literally everything had ceased to look, well, alive. This new home, so vibrant and full of wild life turned to ash and dust in an instant. The voice had told her she must do three things: collect three crystals of different colors, learn something from someone younger than you, and help another take a life. The first two were simple enough but the last one?! What did that even mean? Was she supposed to help someone eat grass, step on insects, or kill bigger things like birds and other animals? Laume didn't agree with speciesism, holding up other living things higher than others revolted her, but she knew it was a nearly inescapable part of being a creature. Muddy, cow pies, she even engaged in it herself regularly, but how did she know what the voice wanted? Would she even be able to do that?

The pintaloosa youth wanders out of the forest and along the oceans edge. Something that should have been so pretty was empty and every creature she saw near it moved like a zombie. A loud, sad sigh escapes her throat. It wasn't the end of the world. She would persevere, survive, beat this. But oh, how tired she was of fighting without anyone else to help shoulder the impossible weight of the world. The tiny ants running up trees back in the forest might carry many times their weight but there was a whole line of others behind them to help carry things when one became too tired or if something turned out to be too heavy. How was she expected to do better, to carry more, to maintain perfect posture with the burdens of life and all its tragedy bearing down upon her slight frame? Laume knew that friends, a herd, they were important. Several horses had been responsible for aiding her in making it through her first year of life. But she didn't have any now. Some seemed to have just disappeared and still others were seemingly too busy with their family to look out for a friend. There had to be others like her!

Nearby, she overhears a group of horses talking about some sort of cave that was just up ahead. Supposedly, the thing was stunning. Well, she couldn't see its beauty now, what with these depressing goth goggles, but anything that pretty was bound to attract many other newcomers. Plenty of opportunity to meet new horses and look for someone to help her with this trial! Butterfly wings loft her up off the rocky footing as she bounds forward towards this new place with all the aggressive hope that youth could offer.

Laume is currently 1yrs old so she needs a foal younger than her to help her learn something (can be anything). If you're not a foal but are looking to take some sort of a life then Laume also needs to help someone do that so, y'know, whatever you'd like. haha. Come thread with her! <3

alerie
Perhaps if Alerie had been born in Helovia, before the shadows consumed it whole and thrust them here in a world of glowing eyes and odd beasts ruled by a twisted god composed of mismatched parts, then maybe the Rift would seem strange to her, too. Yet she's never seen the place before this one, the place of her mother's birth, and while everything is still new to her, she has nothing to compare to. The animals lingering in Kisamoa's world are the very animals she will grow up with; the creatures that will be as normal to her as ordinary birds, wolves, and felines are to her mother and the rest of the native Helovians old enough to be set in their definitions of 'normal'. Little Alerie is still young enough to be completely open, as though she were made of soft, moldable clay that holds shape but is easily manipulated.

Alerie is also young enough that she shouldn't be wandering too far from her mother but... well, let's just say she comes by the wandering spirit honestly. Cursed with a wandering heart and curious mind, the petite pintaloosa (with her large white wings and small nub of a horn) slips away from her family's base camp in the intensely vibrant forests of the far west. How she managed to escape notice falls entirely outside of her thought process at this point in time. Instead, she exuberantly wanders east, keeping the sea to the right at all times. There is no end destination in mind and the likelihood of her growing hungry before she can make it back to her mother's side is quite high. Only mere weeks old, the filly is incapable of thinking ahead or considering the possible consequences - they simply don't fall in the realm of her abilities. Fortunately, though, her own mother was born with a wandering heart and it doesn't take Naerys long to realize her daughter isn't where she left her. Instead of catching up to the youth, though, Naerys hangs back - following close enough to be of use should events turn sour.

With the bouncy exuberance of youth, Alerie continues forward - unknowingly bounding towards the place of her own birth: the crystal caves of Ultima. She isn't far from the entrance when she spies the older filly with absurdly pretty wings. Gasping her delight, the girl bounds forth with a renewed vigor. "Wait!" she calls out, her voice younger and more squeaky than she had hoped it would be. Alerie doesn't stop, though, because who would honestly listen to a request from one so young. She throws herself into a rather uncoordinated run. Somehow she manages to catch up to the other filly, whether before the cave or once inside she doesn't rightly notice, she's far too focused on the delicate looking wings gracing the other's back. They're so much prettier than her own plain feathered wings. "Pwetty wings."

@Laume
Sorry about this post. I'm still trying to figure her out. They should get better after this. :D But she's here to help with the trial, as promised.

THE       F A E       CHILD
.........................................................................

A SMALL voice reaches her as fast as a drop of water falls to the ground. Pale hooves touch the gravel surface, sprouting crystals that quickly turn to a puff of glitter as she spins to find the voice's owner. Oh cool! Someone her....not her age. She'd forgotten how old she was! Drat, she was no better than a distracted mouse sometimes. But a great, child-like smile spreads across the fae's face as she realizes the luck of having met someone younger than her so quickly! See? Positivity  always had a way of helping one grasp what they were reaching for. The pintaloosa filly resolved to remember to try harder to stay positive next time! There was no reason to let the times get you down or to be too frustrated!

This foal seems to be unaffected by the weird dark filter over her vision and for that Laume was grateful. Laume bashfully looks at the ground when the filly utters her compliment. Only one other horse, Maude, had ever complimented her on her wings (Or really even mentioned them for that matter). "Thank you! Yours are really pretty too. I don't get to have fluffy feathers!" She giggles and wiggles her wings. They did the job but actually flying was pretty hard so she mostly just used them to loft her up a bit here or there. Rather like a chicken or something. This filly had beautiful big wings, seemingly, already starting to sprout big feathers! Hey, wait though, aside from her wings Laume and the little filly had really similar coat patterns. Maybe they were related? Did she have cousins!?! No, no. First things first.

"My name is Laume. Whats yours?" Says the spotted fae child. Ever bright and friendly and innocent.

SO SO SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY!!!
(I made an allowance from the trial filter cause I wanted them to get along and not have Laume flip out at seeing a dead baby walking around Gonna play it off as anything having to do with the trial/completing something makes it go away briefly. lol{She currently sees everything as being dead/decaying/etc until her trial's done.})
