You'll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky when we walked in fields of gold

Like Isopia, Otem was uncomfortable with prolonged encounters with others. However unlike her mother, the girl did not let this awkwardness display on her features, nor did she in turn want others to know of it. So as the man's eyes dipped from her gaze towards her shoulder, Otem simply coughed slightly and allowed her eyes to roam the tops of the trees, trying to make it seem as though she hadn't even been aware that his gaze had dropped. She'd already considered Tamlin to be a fairly weird fellow ... maybe this was just one of his quirks?

He lunged, and because her gaze was high only Pandora saw what his intentions were. Otem felt her shoulder slice open in a streak of white-hot pain, her body immediately pulling away from the point of his horn defensively. But of course it was already too late. A clean and long line of blood had formed over her soil-coloured shoulder, small tributaries of blood already falling to the ground.

"WHAT-" She squealed, child-like and temporarily stunned. Her wings folded across her body as if her fine feathers could somehow protect her from further attack. Instinctively she conjured her magic, an an earth sprite appeared at her side. Cloaked in tree-bark and ivy, the ethereal creature glared at the unicorn, ready to strike should he try to attack once again. "WHY DID YOU DO THAT." The child demanded, suddenly wishing more than she ever had before that Vulcan was here with her.

Success! Blood was flowing from Otem’s ripped hide and the crimson droplets fell onto the forest floor. He had gotten what he wanted and now he could…

WHY WAS SHE STILL HERE?!

Tamlin had been so sure that she would scream with terror and pain and then run off. But here she stood - defiantly using some kind of magic that called upon an earth ghost or something of the sort. What was she doing? Why was she not running away from him? He had fucking stabbed her and she chose to confront him with words. He could have understood a counter attack, but this?! What was with this girl?!

He had felt himself become more and more frantic since she had told him about Helovia and now he felt like he was ready to burst. "Fuck it." he growled and called upon his magic.

A glossy blue lotus sprouted out of the blood that stained the broad leaf of a wet bush. Tamlin snatched up the flower between his teeth and turned tail. "Thank you kindly!" he shouted at Otem, not looking back. If the girl did not want to run, well then he might as well be the one doing the running.

ooc; sorry for such a short last post and thank you for this thread. I noticed that their magics are rather alike, if they meet again somewhere they might have some things to talk about ;) (If they don’t end up fighting each other xD)

Although he hadn't bothered to answer her questions, the sapphire blossom sprouting from her blood seemed to do that for him. Was that something she had done, or him? Presumably he wouldn't have just stabbed her if he hadn't known something like this would have happened ... but then again, as a granddaughter of the earth, perhaps this sort of thing was literally in her blood?

Then again, if he had just fucking asked she could have grown it for him, but-

-dumbfounded, the girl watched as the stallion plucked the bloom and turned tail. Shocked and sort of outraged, Otem, Pandora, and the conjured earth sprite simply watched him go, too confused to do much of anything. The magical conjuring disappeared as Otem's gaze looked at the now empty pool of her own blood.

"What just happened." She muttered rhetorically in Pandora's direction. The owl hooted and tried to shrug, mentally sending back a jumble of thoughts that probably meant something like, you should be more careful. "Yeah. You're probably right." The girl agreed solemnly.

YAY! And yeah, I noticed their magics are similiar! We'll definitely have to meet up again! :D
