She dispized being underwater Her movements were so slow and hampered by the water. She was a creature of land, built for power grace and speed. She was not a fish. Though her hair flowed beautifully suspended in the dark depths, the light from the world above sparkling on her silken coat, she was less than pleased. Only the presence of vast, endless shadows gave her comfort. For her speed was never restricted within their embrace. She could move flawlessly, fluidly between them, never once having to fight against the waves.

She was eventually forced to leave their protective haven as she ventured out into the dark city. She found the sensation of being able the breath underwater unpleasant. The liquid invaded her lungs with each breath and she felt like she was drowning. She set about her work, moving as quickly as she could as she tackled a stack of coral. With as powerful blows as one can muster in the water, she slowly destroyed the colorful structure. Just as he trail demanded. This was the only thing that brought her to the abandoned underwater city. She'd never dream of entering the sea for any other reason than to fulfill a trail.

She was exposed, weakened because of the water. Any shark or other sea predator would find her easy prey. As such she stuck to the shadows where she could make a hasty retreat if something did appear. Hidden by an old building that she found herself in. The only evidence of her presence was the smack of her hoof and the sound of crumbling coral. It did not take her long to reduce the poor thing to a pile of bits.

It was rather sad, destroying such a beautiful thing. But she wanted her powers, and so she did it. Heaving an almost regretful sigh she turned to leave. Eager to dive into the welcomed embrace of darkness. The quicker she got out of this place, the better.

The water throughout Akvo is murky and dark, and you feel within, the burdening weight of anticipation. Once a vibrant city of grandeur, brimming with the activities of a flourishing population, it lies now amid the drifting shadows of the lonely deep sea.

Tall, intricate coral walls line winding corridors of this catacomb and a strange array of underwater creatures have forged amid the gloom a sanctuary of their own. Crazed cuttle, a sort well adapted to this life, lay quietly in waiting as the currents above the grey, sandy floor whisk an abundance of queer fish life, here and there.

Capitocoral cloak the dulled walls, camouflaged cleverly to avoid the notice of the beaks of destructive peckers.

The apex predator among them all, however, stalks through the ominous depths with an eye for only the finest food available. Naridon... His slimy, fluorescent scaled skin drinks the flavour of the horse invading his kingdom and his senses delight, revelling in the rise of want within. He is eager, to find her, he is greedy, for he has eaten two intruders the same, this week.

Gliding without sound, he notes the sound of her chipping, navigating through familiar passageways until he can see her ahead. He pauses though, eager for the thrill of chase, and lowers his sinewy, sleek bodice to the shadowed floor to wait.

The deed was done. The coral was thoroughly destroyed. She studied a particularly pretty piece of pink coral that lay in the sand. Valkyrie might find it enjoyable to look at. Receiving a gift may cheer her up. Being trapped within the body of a stallion was a terrible experience for the girl. Though K'yarie secretly found the irony amusing. She understood what Hope was trying to achieve by changing the maiden. But somehow the dark mare could not see it ultimately changing Valkyrie's beliefs. Neither would a swift kick in the pants, though sometimes the mare wished it would.

The girl was so deeply engrained with the teaching of her people. So arrogant and hypocritical. K'yarie wondered what it would take to inspire a positive change within the maiden. To lessen the degree of hate and distain the smaller woman felt towards men. Gently holding her prize between velvet lips, the mare swam on. Leaving the shelter of the smaller streets for the wider causeway. Her shinning orbs floated around her. Some lit the way while others explored in lazy circles around her. Fanning out and spinning off when something caught their fancy. They whispered and chattered to each other about the fallen city. All of which K'yare ignored.

The shadows danced around her, licking her hooves. She kept them close, her magic buzzing just beneath the surface. All was still eerily quiet, she did not trust it. Eager to return to the surface, she had not yet noticed the predator that lurked within the darkness.

Four fins, adapted to travel briefly over land as well as sea, wave swiftly as he waits, stirring a cloud of thick dust to surround him—intelligence makes him all the more lethal. As the sand rises in frenzy through the city, Naridon becomes invisible, following his oblivious prey as she paddles on through the dark depths.

A shadow, still greater than the artificial gloom of his making, glides over them both and the predator pauses, tilting his razored face to eye the expanse of ocean overhead.

It is a whale, a Ceteyan to be precise, and the gentle giant too, has been lured into Avko by the pulse of the visitor to the city. He sings as he descends, a tune that soothes the frantic flicker of the fish life and rumbles through the currents to touch and fill the souls of all that live.

Naridon, however, is not pacified by the presence of the glorious intruder and he snarls, blue highlights flickering across his course, bladed skin.

Her majestic figure came to a careful halt as the sands picked up. Had the current changed? It did not feel so. The dark goddess did not trust the underwater world. She called to her darkness. The shadows reaching out to greet her. Her purple gaze lifted as the songs of the great beast reached her ears.

She did not seek to get closer, though it seemed interested in her. The goddess did not trust the massice thing. She took a step back, and vanished. The shadows enveloping her. Sucking her into their world and out of the fish's reach. She would not endeavour to surface until she was way beyond the city limits. Her gaze focused on the distant form of the singing sea creature before swimming off.
