She was devoted to the moon...

The sea was grey and angry. Stirred by the storms overhead. The clouds gathered enemas as they released their burdensome load down upon the earth. Their tears, that would normally give life, would soon begin to drown. Killed by the sky's sorrow. Adorned with her morning gown the beautiful mare stood atop the cliff face. Gazing out over the sea with beautiful violet eyes. She was outlined by the grey sky and churning sea. Exposed upon the top of this cliff, she was a singular pillar standing against the elements.

Rain water streamed down her body, flowing over every curve and muscle. Wetting her mane until it clung to her elegantly curved neck. She shone, wet, slick, and tantalizing to the eye. Her entire being not only wearing the storm, but working it. Somehow, even drenched, she managed to appear flawless. A gift and a curse, perhaps. One that she would shamelessly flaunt if the need arose.

As she stood the feeling of elegance came off her in waves. Not as overbearing as that of a highborn noble. More subtle in her confidence for she was not in the mind to impress that of others. The drench was by far her least favorite time of year. It was truly difficult to keep herself looking presentable, with her mane and tail always plastered against her in an uncomfortable fashion. It was only by the light of the moon and stars, when her hair turned to comet tails, that she found relief. Still despite her own critical view of her outward appearance, to any outside observer she was pristine.

Her discomfort was easily hidden within her soul. She had no true friends to reveal her troubles to, or to leave upon. A sad fact. Honestly the lone stallion Watcher was perhaps the only horse she felt she could trust. Though they never went so far as to call one another friends. Even still, she was not about to cast her worries and pitiful complains upon him. He had little pity for those who complained about their life and how hard it was. Oh how nice it would be to find a horse she could trust as deeply as she had once trusted her sister. But she knew that this was likely to never happen. With that trust, came betrayal. inflicting deep wound that had not completely healed. Perhaps it never would. She could only truly trust herself. It was a lonely fact. But a necessary one. Her heart could not take another betrayal. She continued to gaze out at the world beyond, lost in thought.

"Talk."
in its darkness she found comfort.
And in its light she found Hope
