Trial Green Labyrinth  OPEN TO ANYONE

ROSCORRO
Why did he continue to go to the rift? Calling upon it for its blessing. He knew that it would ask him to preform trials. Actions he did not necessarily agree with, or wish to do, in order to prove that he deserved the blessing he had asked for. Yet time and time again he would come back, begging for more. He had been denied his request once. Ignored by the presence of the land. He had been confused by its silence. Had he asked to much of it? He did not know. But as time passed and more events unfolded the stallion found himself once again requesting something of the rift. To become stronger. He was sorely lacking in the area of magic, possessing no real way to defend those he cared for against the incredible dangers of this world. All he had was his horns, fangs, and claws. Those useful with partnered with his massive bulk, they were often made obsolete by the magic of this world.

His recent run in with Oizys as she was being attacked by a dragon made his inadequacies all to apparent. All he had been able to do was run into the dragon, while she had been able to summon a draconic lightning beast out of thin air! And although his healing magic had come in handy, he didn't want to always have to heal the wounds. He wanted to prevent them from happening all together. He needed something else. Something other than his physical abilities. Something that would help him to contend with even a dragon.

This was what he asked of the rift. Though he knew not what he truly wanted. Simply the power to protect that which he loved. Having never considered fighting another with magic, he did not know what type to ask for. What sort of skill did he wish to possess? Kiada could summon great tornados of fire, and she possessed armor that held magical properties. Even her very being could be consumed by flames. Surely she was a warrior to be reckoned with. But him? No, he was not a fighter. He only leaped into battle when another was in danger. Otherwise he had never raised a claw, or hoof against another. Certainly never against his fellow horse. So how could he begin to decide upon an offensive magic of his own? So his pitiful request held no specific request in magic. A dangerous gamble, he was sure. But he was willing to risk it if it meant he could protect his friends. They were his family, after all.

And so, he found himself answering the call of the Rift as he descended from the heavens into the entrance of the labyrinth. A light rain had begun to fall when he lighted upon the ground. Misting the earth in damp moister. It was a pleasant enough change from the constant heat of the Scorch, though he was not sure he would enjoy being wet all of the time. Judging by the way the land's seasons had behaved thus far, this small rain was only the beginning.

He shook his massive head, ridding his eyes of his dampening forelock. Soon his mane would be plastered to his body. His fur cloak would grow heavier as it too became wet. But it still would keep the majority of his body dry as he ventured through the labyrinth. This was his trial. To return to find his way out of the labyrinth. And so he returned - for the third time- to the silent, fog filled home of the Metus. He could have saved time by flying to the heart of the labyrinth, but he would not have had any idea what path to take. Best to venture on foot, working a path out within his mind before trying to get out again. And so, with trepidation the stallion entered the towering bamboo maze once more.

As he walked hung close to the left wall. Every now and again he would pause to break a long stock of bamboo with one of his paws. Holding the top end of the stock he would lay it on the ground, broken end facing back the way he had come. With any luck these stocks would not be touched and he could sue them to find his way back by following their direction. If not, he had the broken piece that stuck up from the ground to rely upon. Simply by keeping them to the right of him on the return trip, he should be able to get out of here. That is if the rift didn't play any nasty tricks.

"Talk."

I may not be the most important person in your life.
I just hope when you hear my name,
You smile and say "That's my friend!"

Rosco is required to find his way out of the Labyrinth. Anyone is welcome to join him! I will post a few times before using the rift presence to add a little excitement to this thread. =D
You have my permission to use magic/force against Roscorro.
Maiming and killing is not allowed, though.
