AURELIA
Aurelia stopped explaining herself and her actions when she realized others would only every understand from their level of perception. All horses are lengthy books filled with hundreds of pages, thousands of words, million of letters. Strangers judge others harshly, but that is because they have not read their entire book. How would they ever understand a stranger if they only read one measley chapter in the middle of their story? Should they decide to judge Aurelia based on the one chapter they read, she could try to explain to them what her life has been and what she has been through, but it hard to condense hundreds of pages into one conversation. In the end, it leaves Aurelia percieved as crazy, irrational, and wild. It's true, she is these things, but its not just because she wants to be these things. Life has not been easy on the gold clad mare.

An erratic variety of thoughts occupied Aurelia's mind as she peacefully floated through the sky. Her body sparkled, thanks to her enchanted locket, as the sun warmed her back. Every once in a while, her golden eyes would drift shut and she would just enjoy the feeling of flight. When she reopens her eyes, they catch sight of an island. The island is covered by thick green trees and looks like a rather enjoyable place to rest her weary wings. Her altitude begins dropping as she near the small land mass. Honing in on a large stretch of beautiful beach, she prepares to land there. Her wings angle to catch the wind in order to slow down as the ground rushes closer. With a moderately loud thud and the spray of sand from the impact of her hooves, Aurelia has safely landed on the beach part of the island. Her eyes shift towards the forest, but she doesn't make a move towards it yet.

Overall, she was still very confused about the Rift. She desperately wanted to know more and would ask the very next soul she laid her eyes on. She'd learned a good amount about it already, but it wasn't enough information to be comfortable living here. Every minute she was afraid the ground was going to convulse and the implode beneath her into a deep, dark abyss. Being murdered by the angry land was not on Aurelia's 'To-Do' list by any means.

Angling her body towards the forest, her sweet voice wafts into the air. "Is anyone here?" She doubted, if there were any horses here, that they would be anything but pegasus. Equines and unicorns would have to swim very far to get here, and though it was possible, she doubted that any horses would truly want to do that.
