Glass half empty, glass half full.
Well either way you, won't be going thirsty.
Count your blessing not your flaws.
There was a lost, hollow feeling in the air. A darkness that shifted within the mist like a noxious gas that filled one's soul with a sickly feeling. Perhaps this land was once beautiful. Filled with a mysterious air about it. Now it had been touched by the sickness that infected the rift. Removing all of its light as it sought to drown the world in its darkness. The stallion might have enjoyed exploring this interesting maze, had he not known what lay within it. Deep within the haunting mists of the labyrinth, lay a creature he was now called to face.

He hated being away from Gwyn. But this place was no place for a child. Something within his bones told him to leave the girl in their special place and enter this land on his own. Mist swirled around him, his pelt becoming damp at its touch. The moister in the air only served to increase the oppressive heat that hung over the world. Even within the clouds of mist and fog, the heat reached him. Though, unlike the cold, it did not bother the stallion as much. It warmed his blood and left it humming in a contented purr. But that did not help to settle the large horse's nerves as he slowly took a step towards the entrance to the maze.

The bamboo walls towered far above the Clydesdale. His wings itched, there was not much space to stretch his wings should he need to make a quick escape. He knew not what this Magnus Metus was, nor how dangerous it could be. If he went off of what he knew of this place, it was not something he wanted to come within a mile off. But his magic, and now voice, was riding upon this. He had to confront this mysterious creature within its maze. Head low, ears swiveling like satellite dishes alert for any sound within the shifting mist. But there was nothing. Only the sound of silence prevailed. Nostrils flaring he took one step after the other, his body tense, wings raised in preparation.

His long, hairy serpentine tail twisted and flicked in anticipation. The long, orange spikes glinting in the dim light. Storm gray eyes surveyed the world around him in a cautious manner. Inwardly the dark voice snarled at him, furious that the large dragon-kin would skulk about like a scared little foal. But the giant ignored it, unwilling to rush in recklessly. He had no powers, and no idea what he was getting himself into.
