the sun inside of her rages like wildfire
It was a herd, it was home, and she found herself continually waking up and thinking it as a dream. But every time she woke, she was within the walls of Halyven, within the walls of their herd, knowing that it wasn’t faked, wasn’t a trick of the imagination. It was a relief, to have a place to leave her armor and trinkets, to leave Khairi to his own devices, without being worried of thieves in the night. Though perhaps it was a bit naïve to think of the herd as a safe place so far. Nothing had proven otherwise, and so she slept soundly and peacefully for the first time in what felt like years.

It was dark when she woke again, the moon crossing the sky high in the horizon, with millions of stars surrounding it in a strange form of a halo. It was a rare night, where the rains didn’t constantly pour down, and so she stretched the sleep from her legs and decided that tonight would be a good time for a trip. She found herself walking toward the open and wide main road of Halyven, standing in the middle of it and staring up at the sky. Her glacial eyes taking in every star as it blinked from distance and interference. And she remained, for quite a while, standing and staring, quiet and wearing nothing but the necklace of trinkets around her neck. Yet she was still a beacon, her golden body hued a strange silver from the glow of the moon, and the teal wound in her chest glowed from the liquid within it.

It was such a quiet night, such a beautiful night as the wind picked up through the road, lifting her forelock from her head and dancing it in the air before letting it fall again. Closing her eyes, she breathed in deeply, relaxing. Was this peace? It surely felt like it. She only hoped her many family members could feel and see it too – wherever they were.

"Talk."
and she is —
gold, gold, gold.
