Lessons from a love song - Otem - 01-29-2018

this new air feels hard to breathe, is this how it's supposed to be?
if sweet dreams are made of these then why can't I be sure?

It was weird to be somewhere which had once been a part of Helovia. Even stranger though, was how familiar this place felt, despite the fact that when it had been part of Helovia, Otem hadn't really been that fond of it. Then it had seemed like something foreign (which it was); hence why the familiarity was so strong now.

"I don't know Pan,"  The soil and sap coloured girl said to her companion. "Now neither place feels like home ... will we ever think of this place as home? Or will we always just sort of .. drift?" On her wither, the small melanistic owl hooted sadly and shrugged her nearly non-existent shoulders. "Hmmm." Otem hummed to herself, looking around the desert-like expanses and wondering how to best solidify her place in this strange new world.

Kicking some of the sand as she shuffled along, Otem took a deep breath of warm air and gently released it. This was one of the few places where the darkness of the Rift didn't seem to be as noticeable, which was a pleasant change. Even though she was followed by the ball of light given to her by Kisamoa, it was easy to forget that she was charged with healing the Rift, and instead simply allowed herself to enjoy it.
