The Breeding System is now up and running! Your characters can now get jiggy with it and it can result in a foal!

For a new foal, please see the form in User CP! You may fill it out and submit it. If either parent is a hybrid or tribrid, then you may not have a successful breeding. (You must re-submit a new breeding thread if it is not successful; the form will not accept the same thread).

Once a form is submitted by one parent, the other parent will receive an alert to confirm the breeding. This confirmation must occur within 1 week, or the breeding will expire. If it expires, then a new breeding thread must occur (the form will not allow the same breeding thread to be re-used).

After a successful breeding, mares will be locked out of the breeding page (as they must wait 4 weeks for gestation and 4 weeks after birth before they may breed again).



For your ease, here are the breeding rules from the GB:

1. Normal breeding occurs between a male and female character with at least 10 Rift Force each and at least 2 years of age. Alternative breeding may achieved via completing a trial.
2. Breeding and pregnancies may occur during any season. However, the Rift is not a safe place, so having foals is risky! (Health is decided by automated dice roll).
3. Any species may breed. However, hybrids and tribrids have a greatly decreased fertility rate (decided by automated dice roll).
4. Both characters must participate in a pairing/breeding thread. Due to federal law restraints, graphic breeding is not permitted. Please thread tastefully.
5. Mares must remain pregnant for a minimum of 4 weeks and must wait 30 days between pregnancies.
6. Foal magic:
   
   • You may opt for your foals to be born with guaranteed magic, but it may be harmful magic.
   • Alternatively, you may opt for no magic guarantee, but it will have no chance of being harmful.
7. Characters must confirm their breeding within 1 week, or it will fail and a new breeding thread will be required.
8. You may submit breeding forms for or your new foal in User CP.

This will be the last automated system to be implemented for a little while. Our lovely, coding goddess Neo needs a small break! However, you will have auto-rollers for fights and stealths to look forward to in the future!
That being said, we will be implementing Fights and Stealths shortly! However, those dice rolls will be done manually for the time being. Keep an eye out for the update on how they will be implemented and for those rules!
