To make a quick link to someone's profile, type their name in square brackets.

[Name], e.g. [Waker]To make a quick link to a thread, you can use the thread ID (shown in thread links, showthread.php?tid=NUMERIC ID HERE).

[thread=###], e.g. [thread=284]It formats it as a link with the thread title as the name. To use the example above: Styling Your Profile
These work both on profiles and in posts!
