Appearance Abnormalities
  1. Characters in the Rift may start (or end) with wild appearances. (We love our conservative designs as well! <3) These non-natural parts of the appearance are either Mutations or "True Magic".
  2. Mutations are defined as physical and/or magical design features.
    • These are officially recorded.
    • You may join with as many mutations as you would like. They may also be trialed for.
    • Physical design features may be scales, forked tongues, elongated ears, sharp teeth, etc.
    • If a mutation is magical in nature (such as a glowing marking, followed by fog, etc) it cannot leave permanent marks on the world (ie flaming hooves cannot leave scorch marks), nor can it affect other characters (ie flaming hooves cannot scorch another character). Magical mutations are purely for aesthetic purposes, without having to take up a real magic slot.
    • Please note: wings and/or horns require you be a hybrid (refer to Character creation for more information).
  3. "True Magic" is differentiated in the sense that it can have permanent effects, on both the world and other characters.
    • Please refer to the Magic page for more information.
