Small but sturdy, Erthë looks very frail and weak but has a surprising amount of stamina and strength for her size. Somewhat over-sized swan wings protrude from her sides while porcelain white Eland horns rise from her poll and equally smooth Ram horns curl down her cheeks. She has small expressive ears and odd-colored eyes - one sea green, one milky white, magicked into allowing sight even though the original eye is long since rotted and gone.
Born with a magic that turns her body cold as ice at all times, she lives up to the image of a winter sprite; all of her body is pale, dyed in soft hues of white, powdery blues and delicate pinks. Like a porcelain doll she moves with grace and ease, agile and sprightly and well acquainted with most types of footing courtesy of her many years of travel and exploration.
The only thing marring her angelic appearance is scars that litter her hide; long scratches of hairless lines on the right side of the body from a vicious mare with a sharp horn, nicks and cuts on the legs and, most notably, the dark veins extending from the magical eye, a memory of a foreign illness once tainting Helovia through the open Rifts.
RIFT EFFECTS:
Helovian Amulets:
They shatter. It's a relatively peaceful event, but the aftermath, is not. The residue of the Sun makes your hair and wings drip flame, harmless to your freezing body and the drenched world—but come the next Scorch..? And what is left of the Moon glitters in your hoof prints, wherever you have stepped.

Curious and open-minded, her heart is vast and generous and eager to include anyone and everyone she meets. Exposed to war and pain from a very young age, she has learned to hide hurt and fear behind a cocky, confident facade and has a history of pushing herself past what is wise or healthy, just to prove to others - and more importantly herself - that she can take care of herself.
A wanderer by nature and habit, she is slave under a constant yearning to know more about the world around her. Magic always fascinated her and she is fiercely devoted to the Helovian gods, in particular the Moon Goddess, whom she loved with a deep, fierce passion that bordered on zealotry. Impatient and overly trusting, she is quick of wit and sharp of tongue, quick to anger and quick to forgive, usually bright and cheerful with the occasional spell of melancholy or restlessness.
Recent losses and the shock of the travel through the Portal has taken a great toll on her however, and it remains to be seen how this will affect her in the future.

Born as an outcast to herdless parents, Erthë found home and companionship within Helovia wherever she went. For a brief time after her birth, she and her parents were taken in by the Aurora Basin to live within their wintry lands; but their stay there was not long. The appearance of the Rifts and the subsequent battles between god and mortal took the life of her mother, Shadow, before her first year was over and Vadim was determined to move their little family away from their old home, in order to make new memories and escape the grief. They turned to the World's Edge and was accepted into their midst, and Erthë soon came to love the deep forests, the sheer rocks that overlooked the western sea and the constant, ever present mists that permeated the land. She quickly made friends of the residents there, called them her family and became apprenticed to the Seer Alune, mouthpiece of the Goddess. Learning much and finding her hopes and dreams expanding, Erthë devoted herself to the herd and her studies, choosing the path of the priesthood for herself and swore she would become a Seer too one day, just like her teacher.
But in the world beyond the forest, the Rift Wars continued to rage. In what seemed to be the final battle Erthë was gravely wounded, her legs shattered by a stunning blow from the Tiger God. No magic possessed by mortal could heal that injury, and she was doomed to a life of chronic pain and much hardship. Struggling to accept her fate, all the while numbing her mind and body with potent and addictive herbs, the young filly tried to go on with her life as before, but found it harder than before to stay cheerful. Desperate to prove her worth to herself and others she grew reckless, charging into dangerous situations that left her even more injured than before. Scars began to litter her once pristine coat, marks of bravery and foolishness, of battles won and lost.
But suddenly, it was revealed that all hope was not lost. The Goddess remembered her devoted daughter, and sent a fair creature, a white doe, to heal the broken child. Hesitating at first, feeling that she ought to carry her scars as repentance for causing her mother's death, Erthë eventually accepted the gift and was able to stand firmly on her own two feet once more.
And it was well that this happened, because the peace of Helovia was fraying at the seams. A creature named Kisamoa appeared, claiming kinship with the Gods and pleaded for aid in restoring a part of Helovia long since corrupted by dark magic. Naive and much too trusting, the people of the realms and Erthë with them, trusted his words and assisted him in many undertakings, the rewards for their efforts both rich and plentiful. But the four Gods did not trust so easily. Strange things were happening in the world, and without warning nor explanation they abandoned their followers and disappeared, the Goddess of Moon's angry words declaring lie and deceit as she withdrew.
Full of fear and doubt, Erthë sought comfort in the companionship of a long time friend, Volterra, and heedless of the consequences she accepted his propositions, though a part of her still doubted the soundness in bedding a close acquaintance for whom she felt more familial affection than romantic love. Those doubts turned to chagrin and regret when she discovered herself to be expecting, and the young mare considered terminating the pregnancy before her life could be stolen away from her. Only humility towards the Gods and doubting her own right to extinguish life for her own convenience stopped her, and without any joy or happiness she set to wait for nature to take its course.
But time soon ran out, and Kaos unleashed his wrath upon Helovia. Wielding the tainted magic of the Rift he smothered the regions of Helovia in darkness and herded the frightened inhabitants south to his own domains. There he slew those who opposed him, Erthë's own father among the foolish brave who resisted, and upon defeating the Helovian Gods - Erthë's beloved Moon Goddess rent asunder before her very eyes - he forced the mortals into the portal that would lead them through to the Rift.
Helpless and heavy with child, the young mare thus found herself thrust far from her beloved home and out into a strange, alien world with nothing left of what she had once known. Of the future to come she knew naught, and it seemed that only darkness and death would await her on the other side.

Rift-god / Kaos items:
You don't know how you know, but you just know—or maybe it's that deep, distant voice, rumbling like laughter. It's both triumphant and slightly traumatized, a wild sound. The bow and the fang vibrate. After a moment, they still. But you know, this won't be the last of it.
• Enchanted Bow made from Crocodile God - made useless by the Rift Presence • Glowing black Fang from Wolf God - unaffected by the transfer from Helovia.
