He’s prettier than he should be. See: the delicately dished face. See: the elegantly arched neck. His body is the body of a dancer, and he uses it well. Virga wears black, and only black, except where starlight shines through in a handful of sporadic freckles. A long, long spiral of black glass juts from his forehead. A pair of wings - sadly truncated - adorns his sides. They are black, too, and incomplete, though he is able to summon the missing primary feathers when he needs to: radiant, silver, softly glowing. He no longer requires the moon's light to do so.

Volatile, anxious, loyal to a fault, he has not weathered his small handful of years with any grace. In place of the timid, thoughtful child he once was stands a beast eager to bare its teeth. Violence is the only language he speaks with fluency - words gum up in his mouth. He is despite this a clever creature with great natural curiosity, even if he never admits it. Virga doesn’t admit to much - he is constantly embarrassed by himself, ill at ease in his own skin, and makes up for it in the only way he knows how. Only a select few are likely to gain any sincerity from him, and those are members of his family, all of whom he loves dearly and without remorse. He would chew off his limbs to save any one of them without a second thought.

Virga was born in Helovia, the second of twins, and second in everything else - he was always the slower and more careful of the two. He was only a few months old when his mother unexpectedly disappeared, and his father took both children from the chilly northern climate of their birth to a fog-shrouded land farther south. Virga disapproved of this - he disapproves of most change. Once he was a little over a year old, old enough to go adventuring, he wandered off in search of his mother. He never found her. He never found Mesec or Vesper again, either, though it was certainly not his intention to abandon either of them.

Nearly a year passed before he reached Helovia once more. He found it ruined: his arrival coincided nearly perfectly with Kaos' decision to eradicate the beautiful land. Virga was sucked into the Portal shortly after all the others.
