HIMÊLDÎR

He wanders.
But not aimlessly, the pastel man knew exactly where he must go. After all part of his trial required him to crack a Dusk Howlers egg. How he was going to do this was another task altogether.
And secondly he must burn part of himself in a fire that he had to make. So why not do both things in one go? The beach would be the safest place; well that's if those pesky birds didn't see you, those creatures where nasty little fuckers. Would attack you for no reason. This was going to be the first challenge, avoiding them. Secondly was to start a fire. But now he needed the help of someone that knew how. He could make the basics of the fire, the stone wall, the tee-pee of twigs but that was it, no one had ever taught him how to actually start the damned thing. Perhaps this trial was not meant to be.

He wandered, scouting out some good sized rocks as he traversed through the forest before the beach. Finding anything dry here might prove to be an issue though, how would one manage this. Perhaps finding a large log would be of use, underneath that should be dry enough. Or perhaps burying them in the sand would help, however the sand would then stick to them and that would make creating the fire more difficult. He had stopped in his tracks, all this thinking and planning was making it hard for him to focus on where he was going, having almost walked straight into a tree.
Creating a pile of decent rocks, he placed them at the edge, hidden away so he could find a secluded spot upon the beach, where the fire could be made and those bird would not see him. Again it being dark and him being a beacon would prove tricky. They would possibly spot him from miles away. Or would they just see him as part of the foliage. It could go either way. And now he was going to have to be sneaky about it all.
scouting out the beach before he emerged from the rough grasses that seemed to be the only thing that grew around the sand that created a barrier to the woodlands. He could see a few boulders that littered the beach. Perhaps slipped in between those would be a good idea. The birds seemed to be mostly the other end. But that did not mean they couldn't smell him from that distance.
Gradually he made his way onto the soft beach. Taking his time, watching the nasty ass birds with each advance until he was nestled right between the rocks, tucked away for the time being. Now he had to create some kind of barrier to him, and then he would start upon making the fire.
